Gary came to work as an assistant at my studios at Townhouse Studios in West London around 2005. It was quickly evident that he was a prodigious talent. I elevated him to co-writer and then vocalist on a bunch of songs I was writing/producing for animation projects  Here Comes Peter Cottontail, Casper's Scare School, and Freefonix, in which he played the character CODA (see video below). We then co-wrote some songs on the Division Day band project I was developing at the time. Gary signed to Polydor soon after and had a couple of decent-sized hits in 2009, a Grammy-award winning smash in 2011 and went on to collaborate with the likes of Rhianna and Robbie Williams. Very proud of the kid!
