Rusty signed me to my first record deal in 1985 when I was fresh out of school though I was already a seasoned regular at his legendary Blitz Club. Rusty had taken over Soho's Trident studios, where Bowie, Queen, Lou Reed and Elton John recorded their classic albums. So I got to play the piano used on Life on Mars on my inaugral musical outing under the band moniker Politburo. Thirty five years later and I'm contributing a track to Rusty's latest DJ ablum!
